At ARKai, we believe that diversity and inclusion are essential to innovation. As part of our commitment to responsible research and sustainable growth, we have implemented a Gender Equality Plan (GEP)aligned with the European Commission’s Gender Equality Strategy 2020–2025 and Horizon Europe requirements.
Our goal is to ensure that every team member - regardless of gender - has equal opportunities to grow, lead, and contribute to our mission of advancing geospatial analytics and sustainable technologies.

Our Gender Equality Plan focuses on five key areas:

1. Work–Life Balance and Organisational Culture
We support flexible working arrangements, remote work options, and equal parental leave policies to help all team members balance professional and personal commitments. Regular well-being initiatives and open communication ensure a positive, inclusive culture.
2. Gender Balance in Leadership and Decision-Making
We strive for balanced representation across all management levels. Transparent recruitment, mentoring programs, and leadership training help ensure fair access to decision-making roles for all genders.
3. Gender Equality in Recruitment and Career Progression
Our hiring and promotion processes are designed to be bias-free. Job descriptions use gender-neutral language, recruitment panels are mixed, and all employees have equal access to professional development and career advancement opportunities.
4. Integration of Gender Dimension in Research and Innovation
We integrate gender awareness into our research and product design where relevant - from data collection to analysis — to ensure our technology benefits society equitably and responsibly.
5. Measures Against Gender-Based Violence and Harassment
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for harassment and discrimination. Confidential reporting channels, awareness training, and support mechanisms are in place to ensure a safe and respectful working environment for everyone.
Monitoring and Transparency

Our progress on gender equality is reviewed annually, with key performance indicators monitored and published to ensure transparency and accountability.
